About Brockton, MA
Brockton is a city of about 105,000 people in Plymouth County, roughly 25 miles south of Boston. It grew quickly during the shoe manufacturing boom of the late 1800s, and that industrial history is written into the physical fabric of the city. Most of the housing stock dates from 1900 to 1940, when the city's working-class population needed housing close to the factories. The result is a dense urban grid of two- and three-family homes on lots that were never large to begin with and have been subdivided, added to, and altered many times over since. Brockton is also the hometown of Rocky Marciano, the only undefeated heavyweight boxing champion in history, and the city takes that identity seriously.
The city has several distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character. Campello, in the southern part of the city, has a mix of older single-family and multi-family homes on smaller lots. Montello, in the north, has similar housing stock with somewhat more space between buildings. The west side has some larger single-family homes and is closer to D.W. Field Park, a large public green space with ponds and walking trails that is one of the most visited spots in the city.
We serve Brockton homeowners from across the city and also work regularly in nearby Quincy, MA to the north, where the property types and soil conditions are similar.
