These terms apply to all interactions with Cambridge Concrete and the website located at cambridgeconcretecontractor.com.
By visiting this website, contacting us, or entering into any service agreement with Cambridge Concrete, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at cambridgeconcretecontractor.com/terms-and-conditions. Continued use of this website or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Cambridge Concrete provides concrete contractor services to residential and commercial property owners. Services include, but are not limited to, concrete driveway building, patio construction, foundation work, sidewalk installation, stamped concrete, decorative concrete, retaining walls, pool decks, steps, slab foundations, footings, and concrete cutting.
All services are provided in accordance with applicable Massachusetts building codes and regulations. We reserve the right to decline any project that we determine we cannot complete safely or properly.
All estimates provided by Cambridge Concrete are based on a physical site inspection and the scope of work described at the time of the estimate. Estimates are provided in writing and represent our best assessment of costs based on the information available.
Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Pricing is subject to change after 30 days or if site conditions, scope, or material costs change materially from those assessed during the original estimate.
Additional work requested by the customer after a contract is signed, or work required due to conditions not visible or disclosed at the time of estimate, will be quoted separately and approved by the customer in writing before proceeding. We do not perform additional work without customer authorization.
Project start dates are scheduled after a signed contract and deposit are received. Scheduling is subject to availability and may be affected by weather, permit timelines, and other factors outside our control.
Concrete work cannot be performed in freezing temperatures, heavy rain, or other conditions that would compromise the quality of the installation. If weather prevents us from starting or completing scheduled work, we will reschedule at the earliest available date.
Customers who wish to cancel a signed contract must notify us in writing. Cancellation after work has commenced will result in charges for work completed, materials ordered, and any permit fees incurred on the project to that point. Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or permits applied for.
A deposit is required to secure your project on our schedule. The deposit amount will be stated in your written contract. The remaining balance is due upon substantial completion of the project, prior to final cleanup and departure of our crew, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods will be stated in your contract. Invoices not paid within 15 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, or the maximum permitted by Massachusetts law, whichever is less.
In the event of non-payment, Cambridge Concretereserves all rights available under Massachusetts law, including the right to file a mechanic's lien on the property where work was performed.
Where required, Cambridge Concrete will apply for and obtain necessary building permits on behalf of the customer. Permit fees are the responsibility of the customer and will be itemized in the project estimate. Work will not begin until required permits are in hand.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate information about property boundaries, easements, underground utilities, and any other conditions affecting the work area. Cambridge Concrete is not liable for damage caused by conditions not disclosed to us prior to work beginning.
Cambridge Concrete warrants that all work will be performed in a workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. Any warranty terms specific to your project will be stated in your written contract.
Concrete is a natural material. Hairline cracking, minor surface variations, and color inconsistencies are inherent to the material and are not considered defects. Warranty coverage does not apply to damage resulting from improper use, failure to follow care instructions, application of deicing chemicals, acts of nature, or work performed by others after project completion.
Except as expressly stated in your written contract, Cambridge Concrete makes no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cambridge Concrete's total liability to any customer for any claim arising out of or related to services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by that customer for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
Cambridge Concrete is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages of any kind, including loss of use, loss of revenue, or cost of substitute services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We encourage customers to contact us directly if they have a concern about any project or service. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication. You can reach us at contact@cambridgeconcretecontractor.com or (617) 613-7966.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before initiating any legal proceedings. Any legal action arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Massachusetts.
